Dr. Arbis also stood out for his commitment to research and service. He obtained certifications in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine and received recognitions such as the NIH Minority to Access Research Careers Scholarship at the University of California-Riverside and the Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Advanced Research Fellowship.
